In the world of an Author the semicolon represents that the Author could have have stopped the sentence but chose not to. However in the Tattoo world the Semicolon Tattoo represents situations people have encountered that have proven to be very difficult. And by difficult I mean someone who has been to the edge and has chosen to move forward. Either by helping themselves or found help through others. The Semicolon Tattoo started to gain in popularity some say when Amy Bleuel started Project Semicolon in 2013. For most part the Semicolon Tattoo stands for I can be free, I am deserving, This is my light at the end of the tunnel.
